We are so sorry for your loss. We are honored to help you during this most difficult time of your life. We are happy to have reached out to us.
Here are North Valley Center for Hope, we don’t believe in “fixing” grief. Loss is not something that can be treated or measured in weeks, months or years. As long as there is love, there will be grief. We help walk with you through your grief using a variety of evidenced based methods including attunement, companioning, mindfulness based activities, narrative therapy and journaling, psychoeducation on death and dying and finding meaning And ritual. Sometimes you may have “homework”, sometimes not. We don’t provide a timeline and understand that grief is not linear. We tailor your specific loss to your individual needs.
You have come to the right place. Loss comes in all shapes and sizes whether it’s the loss of friends or family due to estrangement, life transitions due to divorce, separation, break ups or career and relocation. We also help with concerns such as interpersonal changes, discovering who you are now despite new roles and identity. We can also assist with disenfranchised losses such as pet loss, same sex relationships, spiritual/religious trauma and anticipatory grief.
Currently, our office in Scottsdale is open for in person therapy but will be transitioning to 100% virtual therapy soon. You are welcome to meet with our in person therapists until December 2026 and then continue your treatment virtually in the New Year. You will receive the same level of care as being seen in person but you will be able to see us in the comfort of your own home!
Yes, we do! We accept and are contracted with most major insurance plans in Arizona and Colorado. Not all therapists accept the same plans so please visit their page for more information. You can also chose to pay privately and are provided a receipt, if requested.
Unfortananely, no. Our therapists can only see clients who reside in one of the above states due to licensing rules and regulations. There are some exceptions. Not all therapists in the practice are licensed in both so please ask. If one of our therapists cannot help, we know people in other states that can!
We do have therapists who are able to see you pro bono (no cost) for a limited amount of sessions or can consider a reduced fee. Please inquire with us for options. Please consider Open Path as well for reduced fees.
Yes! Our staff have advanced education and experience in a variety of concerns outside of grief. Some of those concerns include marriage and family conflict, trauma and abuse, domestic violence, chronic illness and caregiving, neurodivergence, disability, school and behavioral issues, life transitions, substance abuse and aging concerns - to name a few.
Please ask if you have a specific concern you need help with and we will connect you with the right therapist.
